Psychable was founded by serial entrepreneurs Jemie Sae Koo and Matt Zemon, a pair united in a belief that psychedelics can provide meaningful and transformative treatments for not only those struggling with a myriad of ailments but also those looking to transform their lives for the better.
Psychable was designed to be a holistic solution to connect psychedelic-assisted therapy practitioners with candidates seeking services. The platform streamlines the research period for candidates by offering filters for search including geolocation, treatment type, training or credentials, and other preferences to match with practitioners of their choosing. A true one-stop community for discovering and booking psychedelic-assisted treatments, Psychable’s network allows practitioners and patients to communicate directly with one another to discuss the best possible treatment plans and encourages users to share recommendations and reviews of practitioners. Psychable also hosts an extensive library of proprietary, medically-reviewed articles on all aspects of psychedelics as part of its mission to continue to inform and educate the world about the power of psychedelics as part of holistic health.
Jemie and Matt created Psychable as a way to connect people with new therapeutic approaches to mental health and wellness, and qualified practitioners who are experienced in psychedelic medicine. Both Jemie and Matt had their own profoundly life-transforming experiences through the intentional use of psychedelics which have led them to becoming healthier, happier and more fulfilled human beings.
The company was born out of a deep desire to share a more efficient way for people to explore the diversity of psychedelic medicines and therapeutic approaches, by providing evidence-based information, a professional directory with ratings and reviews, and the valuable support of an engaged community.
Jemie Sae Koo is the CEO and Founder of Psychable, a resource to connect those seeking to learn about and explore legal psychedelic-assisted therapy treatment options with practitioners near them. Jemie is a serial entrepreneur who has built several well-known startups. She brings more than 15 years of experience from working with the world’s largest brands including Amazon, Disney, H&M, Intel, Nestle, Coca-Cola, and more. Psychable is a personal venture for her, as she credits the healing power of psychedelics with transforming her life.
Jemie was a high-performing executive at a management consulting company, where she worked 150 hour weeks until the chronic stress and lack of self-care created a medical emergency. She spent years seeing countless doctors and invested tens of thousands of dollars on various healing treatment modalities, struggling with mysterious symptoms that no doctor was able to diagnose.
She sank deeper and deeper into depression and hopelessness until she discovered ayahuasca – an encounter with plant medicine that not only saved her life but completely transformed it.
Over two years of consistent holistic treatment integrated with yoga, meditation, plant medicine, and breathwork, Jemie was able to emerge from her depression, feel better both mentally and physically, and reconnect with a newfound sense of clarity and purpose. Through her spiritually-based healing process, she came to the realization that solutions offered by Western and traditional medicine were not enough to address the myriad of illnesses in our bodies that are rooted in emotional trauma.
Jemie’s exploration into the connection between physical disease and emotional trauma has led her to pursue a Master’s degree in Psychology at the California Institute for Integral Studies (CIIS).
Matt was a serial entrepreneur who had built and sold multiple companies in different industries… yet in spite of all his professional success, fulfillment eluded him.
It was during a guided psilocybin experience, with a facilitator that fully supported his preparation and post-session integration, that Matt was finally able to release long-held grief from the death of his mother, nearly 20 years prior. During this profound experience he felt incredible love, gratitude, and abundance… along with the certainty that, no matter what came to pass, he had and would always have everything he needed in life. But it was during the integration period after the psychedelic session was over, where the real, life-transforming breakthrough happened. Matt realized that for all his professional mastery and success, he was playing the wrong game of life.
He had the deep realization that he needed to spend more time at home with his wife and kids. And that he needed to do something more meaningful with his talents. So Matt immersed himself into learning everything he could about psychedelic-assisted therapy and is now enrolled in a Master of Science program in Psychology and Neuroscience at King’s College London.
