How I work with Clients
Preparation
Consultations begin with medical intake and screening assessment. Consultations include dosing education: amount and route. Set & Setting differentiates a healing journey from recreation. We create time to set intentions and ground your experience. Your practices before the journey are the ones you will have after.
Set & Setting
Set is the mindset you bring into your journey. It prepares your mind to dive deeply and amplify your innate healing intelligence. Setting is the environment and space we create for your comfort and safety. Set and Setting are just as important as the medicine we provide.
Treatment Approach
Journey Day
You will be asked to stop eating and drinking several hours before your journey. All equipment and supplies will be provided. You may want to bring a personal item for additional comfort. Most journey’s last 2-3 hours. All questions will be answered before we proceed.
Navigating Your Journey
Skilled facilitators will help with your transition into an altered state of consciousness. Our manta: “Be open, be curious, surrender.” Your highly-intelligent inner healer will guide you where you need to go.
Self-Care and Grounding
Practice grounding techniques and self-care after your journey. Avoid major life decisions within the first 24 hours. Don’t worry about ascribing meaning to your experience, it will come with integration.
Integration
Information from your experience will be processed and integrated to create a sense of wholeness. Integration is best done the day after your journey, but can be up to 7 days after. Neurogenesis (generation of new nerve cells) and neuroplasticity (rearranging of existing neural pathways) typically last for 7 days after your journey.
