I work relationally from a feminist, oppression-aware perspective. I work with individuals—from teens to elders—along the spectrum of gender and sexual orientation, in both traditional and non-traditional relationships. I am poly-aware and BDSM/kink-knowledgeable, and sex worker-friendly. In particular, I welcome creative folks, helpers, and outliers who have tried therapy but didn’t feel like their therapist “got” them.
I earned an MA in Counseling and Expressive Arts Therapy from California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS), and have completed San Francisco Sex Information (SFSI)’s sex educator training. I studied the Developmental Model of Couples Therapy with Dr. Ellyn Bader, which integrates attachment, differentiation, and neuroscience. I also have specialized training working with elders.
I earned a BFA in photography from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, an MFA in studio art at UC Davis, and have been a practicing artist and part of arts communities in San Francisco since the first dot com boom. The variety of folx I’ve encountered as a result of my rich and varied life experience helps me connect with a wide range of people, and the situations you may be facing. I’m genuinely curious and fascinated by how humans operate.
Working together, I bring that curiosity to guide your exploration into what makes you the unique and wonderful creature that you are. I look forward to getting to know you, and more importantly — witnessing you getting to know yourself.
