How I work with Clients
We’ve performed more than 10,000 ketamine infusions at our two Colorado area ketamine clinics. Our obligation is to use the most rigorously scientific approach based upon high-quality published studies, infused with our own experiences here at Vitalitas. It is our priority to be fair and honest in providing an estimation of the potential results each patient can hope to achieve.
There are many clinics that have chosen to take care of their patients without a physician’s presence. We will never make this compromise. Ketamine is an anesthetic. Ketamine infusion therapy is given in a non-hospital setting, which increases potential risks. Safety is of upmost importance to us, and should be for you and your loved one as well. You will be closely monitored throughout your infusion to assure your safety and to allow us to make the delicate adjustments necessary to maximize ketamine’s effectiveness while minimizing side-effects.
Rest assured that at Vitalitas, a psychiatry specialist will be with you every step of the way. Shantel Gallegos is our psychiatric nurse practitioner. She will start with a thorough, complementary consultation to understand your needs and struggles and to determine how best to use ketamine to help you. Then, she will closely follow your progress, meeting with you several times, as you proceed down the path of our treatment protocol.
Shantel is not only experienced in psychiatry, she is well-versed in the unique needs of ketamine infusion patients. Because of her special skill set, many of our patients elect to see her for psychotherapy and/or psychopharmacology management. Vitalitas offers these service options to our patients at a substantially reduced price relative to community averages.
