Dr. Weisheipl grew up in Des Moines, Iowa. Following medical school, Dr. Weisheipl moved to Boston to complete an anesthesiology residency program at the prestigious Brigham and Women’s Hospital, a Harvard Medical School teaching hospital. While at Harvard, she was elected Chief Resident of her anesthesiology residency. Dr. Weisheipl went on to complete an Interventional Pain Management Fellowship Brigham and Women’s Hospital and was the winner of the 2013 American Academy of Pain Medicine’s Pain Medicine Fellowship Excellence Award. Upon completion of her fellowship, Dr. Weisheipl split her time among various hospitals practicing anesthesiology and interventional pain management. Wanting to move closer to family, Dr. Weisheipl moved to central Iowa to help start the Central States Pain Clinic. At Central States Pain Clinic, Dr. Weisheipl sees a variety of pain conditions. She loves working with the wonderful physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and support staff at the Central States Pain Clinic and says that “It is truly a collaborative effort to deliver excellent and safe pain care for our patients.”
