Beth Maki obtained her Masters of Science Degree in Nursing Anesthesia in 2001 and began her Anesthesia career at the Mayo Clinic. For the next 12 years, she was privileged to work in the Neurosurgery Department, participating in many “first time ever” procedures studying and healing the brain. In 2013 she began working in hospitals all over Southern Minnesota through her Independent Practice. In 2017 she began a three-year apprenticeship in Traditional Herbal Medicine with an emphasis on mental health. At the same time, she began reading the research, taking courses, and attending conferences about ketamine for mental health. In 2019 Bloom Neurotherapy opened its doors. She is a member of the American Society of Ketamine Physicians, Psychotherapists, and Practitioners (ASKP). She has been a member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists since 2000 and is a supporting member of the Psychedelic Society of Minnesota.
