bifoun, Gabon

In person only, at our village near Bifoun, Gabon (Central Africa). We receive small groups of adults from around the world, mostly from North America and Europe, in English and French. Programs: a 10-day iboga retreat (9 nights, 3 ceremonies), Bwiti initiations, and a provider training for people who want to hold the ceremony themselves. Before any date is confirmed, every guest has a 30-minute discovery call and a medical screening reviewed by our doctors: ECG, liver function tests and a full medication review. The Bifoun medical center is 15 minutes away. We help with the visa invitation letter for Gabon. No telehealth and no substances sold or shipped: the work happens only in ceremony, in the village.

Treatment approach

I was born into the Missoko Bwiti lineage in Gabon, where iboga is the sacrament of our tradition, and I am the tenth generation of my family to carry it. I received my own initiation as a young man, and since 1990 I have guided visitors from around the world through traditional iboga ceremonies at our village near Bifoun. Since 2012 I have also trained providers in Gabon so they can hold the ceremony the same way. For us iboga is a teacher, not a product: every guest is medically screened before any ceremony.
