Founded in 2002 by George M. Northrup, MD, this practice is the home of Tampa’s only brain doctor. We specialize in providing care for all aspects of the brain’s role in attention, emotion, and addiction. Dr. Northrup did a 1 month elective in residency working as an addiction and rehab counselor and has been compassionately and successfully treating addiction patients since 1998. Dr. Northrup understands the need for consistent care. We treat each patient like family. Our compassionate, professional staff is dedicated to providing the highest level of care possible. Because we are physician owned, we are patient driven. This means that we can focus more on providing excellent care, and less on the bottom line. We are not tied to any large medical corporation. We provide effective care that is responsive to the needs of the community of Tampa. Being physician owned means that our doctor’s focus is on you!

Dr. George Northrup is a board certified general and forensic psychiatrist. Dr. Northrup treats mental health disorders, promotes mental well being and is concerned with your overall health and wellness.
