Kate Kincaid
Bio :
Kate (she/her) is a queer, non-monogamous, mother and mental health therapist. She runs a private practice in Tucson, AZ called Tucson Counseling Associates that specializes in anti-oppressive, accessible therapy for LGBTQIA+, ethically non-monogamous people, psychedelic integration services and Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). She co-facilitates trainings for providers who want to bring KAP to their individual practices. Kate received her undergraduate degree from Indiana University, Bloomington home of the Kinsey Institute, a renowned school for the study of sexuality and gender. She received her master of counseling from Arizona State University and after working in community mental health she started a private practice in Tucson, AZ.
Her therapeutic style is informed by intersectional feminism and social justice, seeking to collectively dismantle systems of violence and oppression. She believes much of the dis-ease in our lives is rooted in a normal response to a broken system that is then pathologized and stigmatized especially when it comes to sexual behaviors and interests. She likes to discuss the systems in which we are all operating in and how they impact us and how we might impact them. She is also passionate about psychedelic assisted therapy and views entheogens and plant medicines as sacred tools that can help clients gain new insights into themselves and the world around them.
