Greetings! My name is Maegan Kenney and I am a transpersonal therapist, shamanic practitioner, heart-centered integration coach, intuitive healer, therapeutic astrologer, mythologist, and owner of Third Realm Integration. In my former life, I worked as a mental health counselor with a specialty in forensic and correctional counseling and trained for 3 years as a clinical psychologist.
I have both personal and professional experience with the many shadow elements of pharmaceutical medications and the Big Pharma Machine as well as the devastating consequences of an uncontrolled opioid pandemic and a broken criminal justice and mental health system. I have shared my perspectives on these subjects at academic conferences and on public platforms including the U.S. News & World Report, National Academy of Addiction Medicine, American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), iHeartRadio, WBZ-Boston, The Boston Globe, MassInc, Shatterproof, The Addictionary podcast, and more. I also host the Third Realm Integration Podcast (T.R.I.P.) where I share my perspectives on all things depth, existential, and transpersonal psychology.
I am now completing my PhD dissertation at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) on The Heroine's Journey and the use of unconditional love for female psychedelic practitioners. I am also certified as a Trauma-Sensitive HeartMath facilitator, Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Second Degree Practitioner, Psychedelic Integration Coach, Archetypal Consultant, and Master's Level Holistic Astrologer. In 2021, I launched Third Realm Integration and designed the Third Realm Method.
I have been a student of the heart, earth, and cosmos for many years and have shaped my therapeutic approach from the inside-out . As a true introvert, I love silence, reading about ancient civilizations, exploring the outdoors, and stargazing. I love to learn and consider myself a seeker of ancient knowledge. My two service dogs are Gracie and Gaia who often join me in session 🙂
