We are California based psychedelic trip sitters/facilitators/guides since 2018.

Leap into flight and discover your life from a vastly new perspective with an experienced and compassionate pair of trip sitters. Soar above your everyday consciousness to release what no longer serves you, and to clear the space for abundance of insight and embodied understanding. We create a safe, comfortable, accepting, and non-judgmental space, in a framework of growth, trauma healing, exploration and harm reduction for those we work with.

How Grace & PJ works with Clients

We come to you at your location as sitters/guides/facilitators.

Experience a psychedelic journey with 2 knowledgeable and experienced trip sitters/guides/facilitators that compassionately hold safe space for you. Akasa Journeys is based in California. We are:

-personally experienced with various psychedelics.

-trained in various modalities including Compassionate Inquiry and from the Psychedelic Somatic Institute.

-We are trauma informed including the work of Dr. Stephen Porges and Polyvagal Theory

-work with numerous psychedelic sitting and space holding protocols including: Leo Zeff, James Fadiman and traditional psychedelic study approaches; Psychedelic Somatic Interactional (PSIP), IFS friendly, and custom approaches we design together with the traveler to suit the specific situation/goals/interests/intentions

-supporting of your specific intention(s) for healing and growth

-creating the optimal set and setting for the individual experience

-bringing a sense of ceremony to the experience

-2 sitters that hold safe & sacred space for you (male & female, as the psychedelic studies do)

-staying with you for the duration of the journey (8 hours plus or minus)

-working with psychedelic music playlists from the John Hopkins Psilocybin Study (Bill Richards), London Imperial College Study (Mendel Kaelen), psychedelic music playlists of your own or will work on a music playlist with you, if desired

-including a pre-session meeting with you, the psychedelic traveler, within the 10 days before the journey

-including a post-session meeting with you, the psychedelic traveler, within the day(s) immediately following the journey

-keeping in touch during the first two weeks via e-mail, text and/or phone to help integrate and support your healing

-We do not provide or procure illegal medicines. We work with what you bring. Harm reduction and support.

California based, other geographical locations by arrangement. We can help arrange travel to us, if desired.

Treatment Approach

A pre session, typically the day before, where we go over your intentions, tune you into the power of somatic attention and process through paying attention to your body sensations as a navigation strategy, discuss any past traumas and how they are affecting your current situation, discuss music choices and dosage. This is one to two hours.

The session day where we start with a simple ceremony to enhance the set and setting, a brief sound bath & somatic based meditation, and then send you on your journey fully present and supporting you in whatever comes up. We don’t leave until you are comfortable with us leaving. We have no time limit on your process. Typically this is six to ten hours.

The post session, typically the day after, where we go over your experience, help you integrate and provide resources for continued integration and support. This is one to two hours.
