Illumma, a leading ketamine infusion practice in Austin, Texas, provides relief and offers hope to those who feel lost or struggling with chronic illness and pain. Ken Adolph, MD, and the exceptional team at Illumma have a mission to help each person overcome mental health and chronic pain conditions, freeing them to find their light and share it with the world.
The Illumma team believes that everyone has a purpose and a mission — to spread their light. Unfortunately, trauma and life circumstances cause pain, depression, and anxiety that overshadow the light and dim the spark. The team can help you reverse your course, halting pain and disabling thoughts and habits with one of today’s most advanced treatments: ketamine infusion therapy.
Ketamine infusion therapy is especially beneficial for people who continue to struggle under the weight of anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, OCD, or PTSD even after treatment with conventional medication and psychotherapy.
Brittany Thibault is a nationally board-certified Family Practice Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with a background in the operating room and the family practice setting. Moving to Austin from San Antonio to complete her BSN at UT Austin, she worked a little over 4+ years in open-heart surgery at Baylor Scott and White. She later earned her FNP from Texas State where she transitioned to Family Practice as a provider. It was in this setting she realized that she wanted to do more in the mental health field. She is excited to be on board at Illumma, where she is able to put all her focus on her patients who need help healing and finding their light.

Great nurse, exorbitant fees, inconsistent front desk
I’ve been seeing Thibault at Downtown Doctor for a couple years for hormone replacement therapy, and she’s always been a kind, respectful, and cheerful presence. However, with the frequency of times I have to visit (every 3 months) to go over routine bloodwork that amounts to sitting for 10 minutes while being told “everything looks good, you’re good to go,” each visit costing around $170 out of pocket, going here has proved very costly. For a long time the people working the front desk seemed very despondent every time I came to visit, and their apparent gloom made for not the most inviting atmosphere. However, in the past couple months, they’ve been super upbeat and helpful, so I’m glad to see morale has improved. Overall, my experience with Downtown Doctor has been mostly positive, with some bumps along the way, but it appears to be improving.
