Will Barone, Psy.D (he/him) is a clinical psychologist with many years of experience helping people with a variety of psychological concerns such as depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, addiction, and acute psychiatric illness. He uses a humanistic approach to therapy, which emphasizes warmth, authenticity, humor, and appreciation for the uniqueness of every individual.
He also has a strong interest in non-ordinary states of consciousness and psychedelic-assisted therapies. He has worked as a research consultant for several FDA-approved studies on the use of MDMA, psilocybin, and ketamine for treatment-resistant conditions, and has been a staff member and supervisor for the Zendo Project psychedelic harm reduction program for 7 years. He also lectures frequently at conferences and universities about psychedelic medicines and the future of psychotherapy.
He studied Biological Psychology for his Bachelor’s Degree, and earned his Master’s and Doctoral Degrees in Clinical Psychology at John F. Kennedy University. In addition, he has specialized training in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy from KRIYA Institute and participates in a ketamine therapy specific consultation group.
