Paul Foster, DO, FACEP, is a board-certified Emergency Medicine Physician who has extensive experience working in emergency departments throughout Texas. He leads Austin Ketamine Specialists, which is a state-of-the-art ketamine infusion clinic in Austin, Texas.
Dr. Foster was born and raised in Montana, served in the US Air Force, and received his undergraduate degree at Harvard University. With an interest in a holistic, integrated approach to medicine, he completed his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from TUCOM-California.
After medical school, Dr. Foster completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in New York City. He then relocated to Texas and has called Austin home since 2011.
Witnessing many close friends and family members struggle with debilitating depression and anxiety, and knowing the potentially devastating outcome if inadequately treated, Dr. Foster felt compelled to start Austin Ketamine Specialists.
Dr. Foster’s mission was to make effective ketamine treatment more accessible to those who are suffering. He brings a culture of empathy and compassion to Austin Ketamine Specialists and is passionate about the positive and substantive changes AKS makes in our patients’ lives.
