A community pharmacist by background, an innovator at heart, a lifelong advocate. Some of my personal areas of interest focus on: promoting and advocating for the psychedelic medicine space; cancer advocacy as the parent of a cancer patient, advocacy around holistic whole family care, and combating financial toxicity and mental health support (which is bridge to my psychedelics interest); digital health and how pharmacists will expand their roles in this revolutionary age. I struggled to find fulfillment and purpose as well as community working in a busy retail pharmacy in a rural area. So I innovated- I decided to make my own community. In December 2018 I created The Pharmacist’s Slack using the Slack platform as a way to network and more importantly build real connections with interesting and innovative pharmacists across the country. PharmacistsConnect.com was born shortly after to help share the vision. This creation and those I have connected and shared with has been some of the most fulfilling work I have done as a pharmacist. I hope to further expand my roles, and more importantly help pharmacists find their place in this rapidly chasing healthcare ecosystem.
