At Spark Psychedelic Therapy, Dr. J. Downhill uses Ketamine infusions combined with spiritually focused integration and shamanic healing facilitated by his coworker Christian Ribao to aid in the healing of many types of depression, PTSD, anxiety, repressed anger, and addiction. In the near future, once more psychedelics are available and legal to use in the US, they will be able to facilitate healing with a broader portfolio of medicine, such as MDMA and Psilocybin, to name two. Dr. Downhill’s current area of study and treatment is in the area of using psychedelic medicines in the treatment of psychiatric illness. Dr. Downhill has recently finished the California Institute of Integral Studies Certificate Program in Psychedelic Assisted Therapy and Research. (CPTR) Dr. Downhill’s other primary specialities in psychiatry are Consultation Liaison Psychiatry, which deals with understanding and treating intertwined physical illness and Mental Health; the study and treatment of the illness of schizophrenia; and Addiction Psychiatry. Dr. Downhill has 20 plus years of clinical experience in areas such as Emergency Psychiatry, Consult Liaison Psychiatry, Inpatient and Outpatient psychiatry and Substance Abuse treatment and now Psychedelic Assisted Therapy.
