You’re about to overcome the hardest part of your healing journey, asking for help. When the body says “NO” and responds with sleepless nights, anxiety, or even depression despite your attempts to help yourself – that’s a sign that you need help.
I understand your challenges because they were once my challenges. Something on your heart give it to the art is my proverb, it helped me to heal my challenges.
TherARTy looks at art and music as a healing modality. When we learn to transform our pain into art, music or movement that’s when I talk about Medicine Art. You don’t need to be an artist to do this but someone who will keep the inner critic in check. Transforming emotional pain using art and music is why people come to see me as an “Expressive Art Therapist and Counsellor.” When we do this, suddenly we can create a connection to our emotional pain – moving from depressing to express it to heal.
“Through my life experience I witnessed how challenges can become our calling, and how breakdowns can become breakthroughs!”
I work primarily with teenagers and emerging adults, walking alongside them as they grapple with questions of identity, relationship concerns, anxiety, addiction, depression, trauma, challenging life transitions. I emphasize building a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship within which my clients can explore difficult questions and concerns creating Medicine Art.
