Emma Donovan, MA, LPC, is a therapist in Saint Louis, MO offering psychotherapy sessions in-person and online. Emma’s work integrates Internal Family Systems, transpersonal psychology, somatic psychology, and mindfulness. She is currently taking classes in Applied Shamanism. Internal Family Systems sits at the core of her practice. IFS is an approach that helps you integrate the various different parts of the self by connecting to your compassionate, curious, and conscious center of yourself. Many people have anecdotally reported that IFS, transpersonal psychology, and shamanism have helped them integrate their psychedelic experiences and life experiences. Emma’s methods of therapy may be useful for integration work.

Emma recognizes that many people are making the conscious choice to use psychedelics as a method for growth and healing, and that there is a demand for help from therapists to integrate these experiences. Some of her current clients have brought up their psychedelic experiences voluntarily in their therapy sessions. Emma plans to gain training in psychedelic integration soon. However, please note that, as of yet, Emma has not taken advanced training in psychedelic integration or psychedelic psychotherapy. She does not have substance-specific knowledge.

Additionally, she does not condone, recommend, or give guidance on the use of psychedelics, which are illegal in most places in the USA. Please do not ask her to sit with you, provide you with psychedelics, or give recommendations of any sort for your psychedelic experiences. Her focus is on experiential integration of the Self, therapy services, and transpersonal experiences only.
