Corinne (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Master Social Worker practicing under the supervision of Andrea Turnipseed, LCSW. Corinne graduated from Towson University Honors College with a Bachelor of Science in Deaf Studies and Human Services and completed her Master of Social Work at the University of Texas Austin. Prior to joining the Roots team, Corinne gained a variety of professional experience ranging from roles with interdisciplinary teams in acute psychiatric settings, trauma and crisis intervention, survivors of intimate partner violence, and the LGBTQIA+ Community.
Corinne is passionate about using a combination of therapeutic modalities to offer a tailored experience for each client’s individual needs and histories, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Relational-Cultural Theory (RCT), Feminism, Attachment and Systems Theory. In the therapy room, Corinne’s goal is to meet every client with empathy and authenticity to inspire vulnerability, insight, and wellness. Areas of focus for Corinne’s work with clients includes trauma/Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, anxiety, depression, shame, relationship difficulties, self-exploration, grief/loss, women’s and LGBTQIA-related issues.
