Welcome! I am happy to discuss how we can work together - please reach out to [email protected] with your questions.
In person sessions are held in downtown Palo Alto, California. The rest can be done remotely.
You can expect care that is warm, compassionate, gentle, open-hearted, careful, and thorough.
My goal is to help you live a life in deep resonance with your values. That may mean being more engaged and present with the people, activities, or work you love - or perhaps something else! Ketamine often points us towards what matters most to you, as a unique individual. My joy is helping you navigate that process at your own pace, step by step.
A typical treatment course involves an intake, at least 3 preparation sessions, 1-3 medicine sessions (each one is in-person lasting 3-4 hours in downtown Palo Alto), with integration sessions in between, and follow up integration sessions going forward. The number of sessions, timing, and dosing are all highly individualized. The medicine is given as an intramuscular injection in the upper arm (like a quick flu shot) or sublingual lozenge (a tablet that dissolves under your tongue).
To pay for treatment, options include direct pay, out of network benefits, or Cigna insurance.
Cigna clients can get reimbursement for all sessions except for medicine administration days. There are ways to enhance cost-savings on these days that we can discuss.
For Stanford residents, Aetna insurance covers 100% of services.
For all other insurances, you can ask about your out-of-network mental health benefits for general psychiatry and psychotherapy codes for all sessions (including medicine days).
We can submit treatment summaries to your insurance called "superbills" so that you can apply for reimbursement. Here is a step-by-step guide with a list of questions to ask your insurance, in case it's helpful: http://bit.ly/2y0Uvb0 I can also help answer your questions about this process.
You can book a 20 minute screening call here: https://calendly.com/the-clinic-ketamine/20min or contact me at patriciapopmd.com
I look forward to meeting you!
