The retreats we offer are based on ancestral rituals guided by experienced shamans, and the master plants will show each participant, his/ her own experience as is needed to begin the process of healing.

Grandmother Ayahuasca, the wise one who opens the path to understanding is an Amazonian “spirit potion”, and is a medicinal blend of the Banisteriopis caapi vine and the leaves from the Chacruna bush Psychotria Viridis. This sacred mix has been used by healers for centuries as a religious sacrament and a healing method for the mind, body, and spirit.

The ancestors have passed on these teachings to younger generations, and they are a very important part of the ceremonies. At Ayni we consider this wisdom a priority and it is vital to us that the traditions of these practices be maintained. One such example is chanting which is called Icaros, which is performed during the night of an Ayahuasca ceremony to help open our senses.
