Q: What are the accommodations?
A: Everyone gets a private room and private bathroom
Q: How long have you been open?
A: Since 2014, we are one of the oldest and most reputable ayahuasca retreat centers in Costa Rica.
Q. Do you have a shaman?
A: Yes, our ceremonies are facilitated by our ayahuasquero Matt who sings Icaros and plays multiple insutruments to guide the ceremony. Matthew has been learning under the guidance of his teacher in Peru for the last 6 years and has completed many plant medicine dietas.
Q: Where does your medicine come from?
A: Our medicine is made in Iquitos, Peru by world-renowned shaman Don Ron Wheelock. Ron's brew is well known and it is high quality and strong medicine. Please refer to our page about our brew for more information about the importance of knowing where the medicine comes from and what it contains.
Q: Is there internet?
A: Yes, we have WiFi available at our facility.
Q: Is there hot water?
A: Yes, hot water is available in all sinks and showers
Q: How do I get to the New Life Ayahuasca facility?
A: We are located in the mountains of San Ramon. We provide complimentary airport pick up from SJO airport at 2pm on the start day of the retreat. We are about an hour from SJO international airport in Costa Rica. Return transportation is the responsibility of the participant, however, we are happy to help arrange for a taxis and most guests usually split fares.
Q: What do I need to bring?
A: Almost everything is provided for you once you arrive at our center. The only things you need to bring are personal toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.) We also suggest you bring close-toed shoes for exploring the property and water shoes for the waterfall excursion.
Q: How many people are accommodated for ayahuasca retreats?
A: Each week we typically limit spacing to 8 participants, however, we may make exceptions for couples. We will never have more than 9 participants per ceremony.
