In healing, psychedelic therapy is often discussed alongside breathwork and other holistic practices.

But what does it really mean to weave these modalities into everyday life?

In this intimate conversation, you’ll witness how I support my client, Lee in exploring breathworkmicrodosing, and the deep work of personal transformation.

What unfolds is a powerful dialogue about finding peace, healing from within, and stepping into a life of self-awareness and empowerment.

“I Am at Peace” — The Power of Intention

Jemie: Let’s start with a simple yet profound question: When you feel at peace, what does that actually feel like for you?

Lee: Hmm. The only way I know how to describe it is in the negative — like the absence of anxiety or worry.

Jemie: Isn’t that interesting? We often define peace by what it’s not rather than what it is. I invite us to begin to shift that perspective. Perhaps instead of saying, “I don’t feel anxious,” what do you actually feel when you are at peace?

Lee: I’d say happy.

Jemie: Beautiful. Can you put it into an I am statement?

Lee: I am at peace and I am happy.

Jemie: Does that feel like the intention you’d like to bring into our breathwork today?

Lee: Yes, that’s my intention.

The Breath as a Tool for Transformation

Jemie: I’m going to guide you through a five-minute breathwork exercise. It may sound simple, but it can feel intense — almost like a workout. Your body might resist, but I’ll be here to guide you through it. Are you ready?

Lee: Yeah, let’s do it.

Jemie: Perfect. First, let’s get you into the right position. Lie down at a 45-degree angle. If you have a pillow, use it to support your back. Another pillow under your knees will help release tension in your legs.

Now, open your mouth wide — wider than you think necessary. This is key. Imagine your belly like a balloon.

When you inhale, inflate that balloon fully. Then, let the air out effortlessly, as if the balloon is deflating on its own. No effort on the exhale. Try it with me.

Lee follows along, inhaling deeply and exhaling naturally.

Jemie: Good! Keep going. Deep inhale… relaxed exhale. This rhythm of breathing brings oxygen deep into your cells, moving stuck energy and shifting you into a parasympathetic state — the body’s natural healing state.

The Shift: From Tension to Clarity

After several minutes of breathwork, Lee slowly opens his eyes.

Jemie: How are you feeling?

Lee: That was pretty cool. I feel… clear. My mind is quiet, which is rare for me.

Jemie: Wonderful, it sounds like you gave your mind a moment to rest.

You know, breathwork and psychedelics have a lot in common. Both help us access that deeper sense of awareness and presence.

The beauty of breathwork? It’s free and always available. You can do it anytime, anywhere.

Lee: Yeah, I never realized how much of a shift I could feel just from breathing like that.

Jemie: Imagine doing this every morning for five minutes. The compounding effect on your nervous system, your emotions, your overall health — it’s powerful.

Healing Beyond Talk Therapy: A Whole-Body Approach

Lee: I’ve done talk therapy before, but this feels… different. More physical.

Jemie: Exactly. Talk therapy is valuable, but if the body is inflamed or stuck in survival mode, real healing can be challenging because this is about addressing it at the root cause. That’s why our work focuses on you as a whole being — mind, body, soul, and spirit.

This is why we created the 12 foundation principles to heal and thrive in today’s modern world. This approach focuses on aspects like: restful sleep, proper nutrition, detoxification, emotional well-being, breathwork, and yes, even microdosing for some individuals.

Lee: That makes sense. I’ve struggled with physical symptoms, too. I mean, I try to eat healthy, but I don’t know much about detoxing and parasite cleanses.

Jemie: It’s not just about food. We’re exposed to toxins and parasites — through our water, air, and even stress. Detoxing and parasite cleanses is a lifestyle, not a one-time thing. When the body is burdened with toxins and parasites, it can manifest as anxiety, depression, brain fog, chronic pain, autoimmune conditions, and more.

The Invisible Stressors: EMFs, Toxins, and the Modern World

Lee: So it’s not just diet — it’s everything around us?

Jemie: Exactly. Even invisible factors like EMFs — electromagnetic frequencies from WiFi, Bluetooth, and cell towers — can contribute to stress, weakening the immune system, and sleep disruption.

Lee: I’ve heard about that, but I never took it seriously.

Jemie: Most people don’t and the general public aren’t really aware of this.

But when you start reducing these stressors — switching to non-toxic cookware, filtering your water, limiting exposure to artificial light, like LED — you give your body the space to heal.

Lee: It’s overwhelming to think about, but also makes so much sense.

Microdosing & Psychedelic Therapy: A Return to Nature

Lee: You mentioned microdosing earlier. How does that fit into all this?

Jemie: Microdosing is one tool among many.

When done correctly, it can enhance neuroplasticity, reduce inflammation, and help people break old patterns. But it’s not a magic pill or cure — it works best when combined with the 12 foundational principles and practices like breathwork, nutrition, detox, etc.

Lee: Yeah, I’ve experimented with it before. It helped, but I wasn’t doing any of this other stuff.

Jemie: That’s common. Microdosing without a holistic approach is like trying to build a house without a foundation. You need the right structure to support the transformation and have longer, lasting results.

Empowerment: Becoming the CEO of Your Own Healing

Lee: So what’s the next step? If I wanted to go deeper into this work?

Jemie: We offer structured programs at Psychable where we dive into everything we talked about today. It’s not just talk therapy; it’s a full-body, full-life recalibration.

Lee: I like that. I’ve spent years just talking about my issues. It feels like it’s time to actually do something about them.

Jemie: That’s the shift. Moving from feeling stuck to feeling empowered. You are the CEO of your own body and health. We are here to provide the tools, frameworks and roadmap to meet you where you are at, but you are the one who implements what works and what doesn’t work for you.

Lee: That makes sense. I think I’m ready to take some of those steps. Maybe not all at once, but starting with the breathwork and some small changes.

Jemie: That’s perfect. Healing isn’t about doing everything overnight — it’s about consistency and taking small steps. Small shifts create momentum, building over time and ultimately leading to profound transformation.

Conclusion: The Journey to Thriving

Healing isn’t about quick fixes or bypassing the hard work. It’s about resourcing yourself — learning to listen to your body, resource your nervous system to expand capacity, and build a life where you don’t just survive, but truly thrive.

Breathwork, psychedelics, detoxification, and intentional living — each of these tools has the power to bring us back home to ourselves and who we truly are.

The first step begins with a single breath.
